Beginnings

Ok... Here goes my mini project...

I love children's books... Their colours, their innocent stories which hold such great values... The simple words which bear so much meaning...

Every night I try to read to my 3 babies - a 7-year old princess, 4 year old prince and 2 year-old princess. I've always loved Reading and reading to children and seeing the reaction that stories bring out from them. I love seeing the glitter in their eyes as they wait for what may come in the next page.... The bonus which comes out of reading to my kids other than having fun, is that it indirectly helps in their own reading development....

I've been reading daily, since my 1st one was born... So I can safely say that I've read tons of children's books by now... And I still get excited if I see a new children's book that I've yet to read, so this explains my project...

Every night, I will try to post a mini book review of the book that I've read to my children... The book review will include -

1.  A rating between 1 to 5 stars, 
2. The age group that I think it is most suitable for, based on my kids reaction to it... 
3. A brief synopsis of the story
4. My kids reaction to it
5. Any possible per or post reading activities (if time permits and if creative juices flow)

Other than being an avenue on possible like-minded people who love children's books, it is also a means for me to keep a list of the books that I love for future reference if necessary. And also as a form of discipline for me to think of activities that can further stimulate my children's development...
